Sensitive skin can be challenging. Products may claim to be gentle but there are degrees of sensitivity so there is no one size fits all.
Some products can work for a while then stop, so it is important to pay attention to any changes in your skin even if you are using something you like.

Witch hazel mixed with lavender oil is a great combination that can be used on some sensitive skin and for more than one purpose:
- Witch Hazel is a shrub with fragrant yellow flowers, bark and leaves that produce an astringent. Astringents dry up secretions and tone. This can be great for acne prone skin.
- Lavender is an evergreen shrub that is part of the mint family and has antiseptic properties. Antiseptics prevent disease growing microorganisms and helps avoid infections. Great for mild skin irritations.
Together Witch Hazel and Lavender can help prevent or heal breakouts. They can be used as a toner after washing the face. Surprisingly, it is also a great alternative to deodorant because the same bacteria that causes odor is removed with the astringent in the Witch Hazel. It works wonders!
