
Meditation is a practice of focusing and creating a peaceful and pleasant place so that we can re-group and center out lives. Meditation through arts and crafts is another way to accomplish this.
Working with my own family to implement wellness techniques has been fun. Teaching our children meditation through arts and crafts is effective in helping them to improve focus and self-esteem. Adding relaxing music, independent projects and some pre-discussion on the purpose also helps.
The finish product above provided my daughter a sense of accomplishment while enjoying a few hours of quiet time.
Whether cooking, painting, or writing, I find these times alone very meditative and peaceful. After I finish this type of activity I am more at peace and my mind is more quiet.
