In 2008, at the age of seventeen, Lauren Preston self-published her first novel Dream through Outskirts Press. Since then she has published poems in literary magazines and worked diligently to hone her craft. She graduated first from the University of Baltimore with a cum laude BA degree in Literature and Culture and then from the University of Limerick in Ireland with First Class Honours for her MA in Creative Writing. As a freelance writer, she has done book reviews for Girls’ Life Magazine and Bloomsbury YA. In 2018 she helped launch The Ogham Stone Literary Magazine as the Fiction Editor-In-Chief. Lauren has a book review Instagram feed under @blackcoffeebooks35 and a blog at laurenprestonwriter.wordpress.com. Currently she is writing and working towards a PhD in Creative Writing.
