A life coach is different than an executive or health coach, while also the same in many ways. While all coaches help guide clients on their journey to help them be successful, executive coaching is focused on the client’s career development or being a sounding board for projects that have gotten stuck. A health coach usually specializes in health related needs from a physical trainer to preventable chronic illnesses, which may include high blood pressure, pain from obesity, diabetes or other areas that can be improved through lifestyle changes. Life coaching however, is specific to personal issues and may include family members during some sessions for topics like:
⁃ Loss of a Parent
⁃ Illnesses that are not preventable
⁃ and more…
The relationship between a client and their life coach is a creative partnership that seeks to move the client in a positive direction at their own pace.
